Recently, two radar trailer platforms produced by Chengli’s specialized RV factory successfully rolled off the production line and passed expert panel inspection in one go. This marks another high-tech, premium specialty vehicle product launch by the factory, following the successful delivery of the National Security Bureau’s Mercedes-Benz Viano facial recognition detection vehicle in May, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter police drone command vehicle in late August, and the Shangdang Media large TV broadcast vehicle in early November.
The “Chengliwei” brand radar trailer mobile platform, manufactured to military standards, features Level 5 off-road capability and comprehensive field support. It employs dual-bearing load distribution during movement and one-touch leg leveling for parking. Equipped with intelligent power conversion, it enables real-time monitoring, recording, and online transmission of video data. This specialized carrier is designed for unmanned, all-weather emergency meteorological monitoring in remote environments.
The Chengli radar trailer integrates multiple systems, including transport, electrical control, radar, video surveillance, wireless communication, GPS positioning, meteorological monitoring, and lightning protection—all requiring high integration complexity and reliability.
The Chengli radar trailer’s power assurance unit prioritizes mains power input. Upon mains interruption, the onboard generator automatically activates. Two generators can be configured for alternating 2-3 hour shifts. A 240-liter fuel tank automatically replenishes both generators, ensuring approximately 740 hours of power supply. Generators can also be remotely controlled for start/stop operations as needed. Upon mains power restoration, the generators automatically cease operation and switch to mains mode. Concurrently, the onboard online UPS and solar power generation unit ensure seamless power transition during unexpected interruptions to either the mains or generator supply, sustaining video capture and communication transmission for up to 6 hours.
The video surveillance system comprises three professional-grade HD network cameras, one PTZ camera, a DVR, a network switch, and an industrial-grade 4G wireless bridge. It enables remote control for real-time recording, storage backup, and remote video access. Once activated, the vehicle’s surveillance system provides 24/7, all-angle monitoring around the Chengli radar trailer platform in unattended operation.
