As hydrogen-powered and other new energy vehicles enter more commercial applications, vehicle safety is no longer only a question of design and manufacturing. How quickly and correctly people respond when an emergency occurs matters just as much.

On the morning of August 27, 2026, the Safety and Environmental Protection Center at Chengli Group brought together safety management staff from branches for a hydrogen vehicle safety training. Instead of just reading about safety rules on paper, the team actually practiced what to do. The hydrogen vehicle emergency response drill focused on skills like firefighting, rescue work and quick emergency action.

The exercise focused on giving safety management personnel experience with the actions and coordination required during a vehicle-related emergency.

Photos taken during the drill show participants moving through several practical training scenarios, including:

  • Emergency casualty transfer using a stretcher
  • Coordination between firefighting and rescue personnel
  • On-site safety instruction and team briefing
